Aperto in Potrero Hill

Potrero Hill ain't what it used to be. It's crawling with fabulous restaurants, including Aperto. Great food at a SUCH a reasonable price. We ate a lot and I think our bill was $40 each! HA! R. Club is tightening its belt. Oh, and Stephanie is expecting! Even though I felt like crap this evening, I still had a great time catching up with my girlfriends. Nothing can keep me away! This was Gail's pick!!

Contigo: Kitchen - Cava

Noe Valley hotspot. Delicious tapas and cava. We favored the rose cava. We met for an early dinner since Contigo didn't take reservations. Despite the few stuffed shirts and babies (along with baby strollers, trikes), we managed to have yet another fabulous Restaurant Club. Favorites included patatas bravas, 2 kinds of flatbreads, mushroom stuffed calamari, gorgeous tomato salad, chorizo burger, scrumptious goat cheese and cured jambon, and for dessert: churros in chocolate sauce and Blue Bottle Coffee Icecream! Rich Table (Feb 21, 2021)

NEWS FLASH: HALLELUJAH!!! RESTAURANT CLUB REVIVED AFTER ONE-YEAR COVID HIATUS. Praise the Lord! It had been over a year since the FOUR of us were able to dine together for Restaurant Club and coming together at Rich Table was like being awakened from the dead. Nothing like 12 months of sheltering at home to make you appreciate the beauty and thrill of our friendship. Everything was so delicious, that neither the SF police sirens, ambulances, or random passserbys could distract from this glorious meal. From the cocktails, to the appetizers and mains, everything at Rich Table was so delicious (Dionne's pick!). Maybe it tasted extra great because we'd been so deprived of one another's company, or maybe this has always been a totally killer restaurant - either way, it made me hyper and so excited to be here! Besharam - February 25, 2024

Julia convinced Dionne to select Besharam after seeing an episode on Check, Please Bay Area. It did not disappoint!! Located in Dog Patch (previously, a non-existent neighborhood), the food was gorgeous and delicious. It featured Indian street food, but unlike I've ever had before. Great celebration of January and February birthdays!!!
