July 12, 2012: Dionne's pick.



This was a fun pick by Dionne and we had Amy Peterson as our "special guest."  The food and menu were definitely stretching out on a limb, with some interesting combination of flavors.  I think we liked, but didn't love, the food.  But of course, the company was wonderful and that's what it's primarily about!  Love these gals :)

Besharam - February 25, 2024

Julia convinced Dionne to select Besharam after seeing an episode on Check, Please Bay Area. It did not disappoint!! Located in Dog Patch (previously, a non-existent neighborhood), the food was gorgeous and delicious. It featured Indian street food, but unlike I've ever had before.   Great celebration of January and February birthdays!!!

Contigo: Kitchen - Cava

Noe Valley hotspot. Delicious tapas and cava. We favored the rose cava. We met for an early dinner since Contigo didn't take reservations. Despite the few stuffed shirts and babies (along with baby strollers, trikes), we managed to have yet another fabulous Restaurant Club. Favorites included patatas bravas, 2 kinds of flatbreads, mushroom stuffed calamari, gorgeous tomato salad, chorizo burger, scrumptious goat cheese and cured jambon, and for dessert: churros in chocolate sauce and Blue Bottle Coffee Icecream! Mmmm..... (oh, this was Gail's pick). Everyone present.9/18/09
