Al's Place

To Gail's surprise, she got us a reservation at the Michelin-recognized Al's Place in the Mission (she'd been trying for years)! Gail's email: "Omg!  I have been trying to eat here for at least 2 years—never can get resie and tried walking in multiple times!"   And what at treat to dine at this fantastic restaurant. Beautiful food pictured here: And here we are having a blast!!

Gather - Berkeley!

For the 2nd time in 13 years, we've hit the East Bay! Woo hoo!  We went to Gather in Berkeley on March 4, 2018.  The restaurant was lovely, spacious, close to Bart and had really outstanding food. My favorite was the asparagus. But everything was fantastic and is best described as California cuisine. This was Stephanie's pick. Celebrating Dionne's birthday and with our own bottle of wine, the tab was only $38/per.  Amazing! Keeping it strong with Restaurant Club.

Farmhouse Kitchen

January 14, 2018: First Restaurant Club of 2018! Hurray! This was tasty Thai food. In Potrero Hill, home of a former popular Chinese restaurant (now can't recall the name).  We got to celebrate January birthdays! This photo just about covers it! Delicious food.

Little Gem. October 8, 2017

Little Gem had a little turnout: just Gail and Stephanie!  This is the first 2-only Restaurant Club!  Poor Dionne and Julia weren't feeling well.  Anyway, I'm sure with the third friend of wine, these two had a great time!

Myrian Gastropub: July 23, 2017

We hit this spot in the Mission for a fun summer dinner!  Very cute place.

Finn Town Tavern

In the heart of the Castro is Finn Town Tavern. We went here. We ate here. I'm sure we liked it (sorry, way delayed post!). The food sure looks good!

Namu Gaji

Namu Gaji - March 5, 2017, Gail's Pick. What is Namu Gaji??  Other than a little slice of gastronomic heaven, I have no idea what the name means. They have a farm named Namu, where all of their fresh ingredients come from. So this was a play on California-Korean food and the blend was a huge success.  This tiny restaurant across from Dolores Park stands out as one of our favorites. Other than plastic barstools to sit on (take it up a notch, Namu!), the dishes were outstanding.  High praise for Namu Gaji for nearly our 12th-ish anniversary!!!
